#21 This Week Doing Less Run...

So sad today because I going to miss my Safra Running Club at Tampines but today they going to do something different today. 

There will be doing intervals in Temasek Poly's Track 400m x 10 sets. That is the most I like to do it. I later having choir practice in church so that why I will miss it and next Tuesday I got Worship Ministry Night also will miss it. But is ok after that back to normal every Tuesday I can go back Safra Running Club to run. I really miss them too and all peoples there are friendly. 

Plus this week I and my lifetime pacer is running on this Wednesday that also our special day because is our 9 Months Anniversary so this time we doing something special too. Is to train running together after that we go celebrate by having simple dinner. 

Most of the time we celebrate by eating not going to running. I really glad that my sweet boyfriend understanding. Because I told him my 42KM SCMS is coming on the 1st Dec 2013 so need to train harder. 

But this year will be a bit different. Because I feel is the season that is my friends never train with me. So all by myself, God and my boyfriend. Last year I use to have friends train with me. I not sure what happen to them. So I treat as a season they have make new friends and I believe God will bless me with other friends in other running club. But I really thanks God I still have Safra Running Club in Tampines.

So I plan next month while I serving choir in the afternoon. So I can go Safra Tampines to run with them and every Sunday they doing 20KM so is a good long distance for me to prepare my SCMS end of year. I believe I will do it very well.

This week I only run 3 times only and not run everyday. But if no choir practice I will run a lot. God never stop me from running but He bless me every area of my life. Amen

#20 First Time Saturday Run At Evening

Today is normal Saturday to me because I am working from 8.30am to 1pm. Then I will be going down to Bugis to shop for my white top for this Sunday choir. 

After that my boyfriend going IPPT at 4pm and I pray this time he can get Gold for he IPPT. I believe he can do it by God grace Amen. Just a 2.4KM sure can make it too after so much training with me. 

Today my plan is after work my boyfriend meet me then take MRT to Bugis look for my white top, having lunch, send him off to IPPT, I go home to rest until 4 or 5.15pm change then start to run from my house Simei to Bedok Reservoir to meet up a Saturday Running Group name is Run To Walk. I am looking forward for it. Because is my first time trying and running with them it will be fun 5km evening run. 

After run should be going home to rest and prepare for Sunday Choir serving in church early in the morning 7am. Hope I can get some early sleep to get ready for serving. 

Last thing I never forget is that all the best for my runners friends who doing Craze Ultra 100km from today to tomorrow. Hope is does not rain and weather will be cooling so that they can complete the race with cooling weather, won't fall sick so easy and no injure for them. Jia you all the way and drink more water too.

#19 To Run or Not to Run... What to Do When You're Sick

You've been training well for the past several months, feeling fit and strong and then, whammo, you wake up one morning with a sore throat and a stuffy nose. But your running schedule calls for four miles, should you run?
It would probably be best to take the day off, to nip it in the bud, but "Type A" runners that we are, you probably decide to run, anyway. Before you lace up those running shoes, take the "neck check test". If your symptoms are "above the neck"… runny or stuffy nose, sneezing or sore throat, a little easy running probably won't do any harm and, in fact, might even help. Exercise releases adrenaline, also called epinephrine, a natural decongestant, which may explain why a run seems to clear nasal passages. Whether you choose to run indoors or out, monitor your body for any symptoms such as dizziness, nausea or profuse sweating and STOP RUNNING if any of these symptoms occur.
If, on the other hand, you have "below the neck" symptoms… fever, fatigue, muscle aches, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, sweats, swollen glands or a hacking cough, then this indicates that you probably have a virus. Running under these conditions increases dehydration and can lead to more serious problems, so DO NOT RUN. Take off the next few days to a week. And don't worry, you will not lose too much of your conditioning. It will just take a little effort to get back to where you left off, but the body is very resilient and has great "memory", so it generally won't take as long as you think. You may, however, have to adjust your training schedule to get back on track without overdoing it and start back by doing less mileage and incorporating some walking into your run.
Obviously, the best way to not lose training time is to prevent a cold or virus from starting. OK, easier said than done. So, what can you do?
  1. Wash your hands frequently (or use hand sanitizer) especially after riding on public transportation or coming into contact with cold sufferers.
  2. If you share an office phone or computer keyboard, keep Lysol handy and spray when necessary. Spray a clean cloth or paper towel, first, then wipe. Or you can also just spray into the air.
  3. Avoid using public telephones (much easier now that we have cell phones).
  4. Avoid young children. OK, difficult to do if you're a parent or teacher, but kids pass along many colds and viruses. Keep washing your hands!
  5. Take vitamin C. Nobel Laureate Linus Pauling believed in it and he lived to be 93!
  6. Take zinc lozenges. Take these at the moment you feel any signs of illness.
  7. Stay out of airplanes. OK, tough to do for many of you with traveling jobs, but stay well hydrated on the plane.
  8. Try herbal teas. Echinacea is best.
  9. When all else fails, good old-fashioned chicken soup works wonders. It's warm, it keeps you hydrated (especially with the amount of salt that's in it), and for those of you who are far from home, it reminds you of Mom. And didn't Mom always make you feel better?

#18 Thanks God For Changing My Life.

I really thanks God for what His have done in my life. Back to the story in the year of 2009 I was having a bad relationship with my ex-boyfriend since in the year of 2006 to 2009. I still remember I took about months to get over it. But really thank God by His grace I can get over it and cannot live without Him for being in the midst in my life. 

First that He really change me a lot from inside out. When I really don't know what to do in year of 2010. I still remember I use to eat a lot after having a worst and bad relationship and also trying to find new boyfriend to get over it. But that does not help because that is not from God too.

So I start pick up running as my hobby with some of my church friend. Starting also not that easy just take one step at the time like example run slowly then walk a bit after that I find out running is a good sport for me and I also started to enjoy it. Because I always pray about it ask God for wisdom and change me when I get into running. 

In year 2011 I start took part a lot running race from 10km skip to 42km. But for when 42km race come I was not doing well because I not even have any training before the race start and not even hearing any advise for other. So I have a injure when I reach 21km mark. Then I stopped and feel my knee is injure so I decided to give up. Plus other friend of my also giving up because he having a stomach pain and vomiting so we decided to get a cab to go back but as for me I plan to ask the taxi driver to stop me nearby near the finish point when no one look around so that I can go collect my finisher tee at the finish point then for my friend he go home rest. At the point of time I was a bit disappointed but I can feel God told me is OK I have learn a lesson. So I should listen some of my friends advise how to do well the 42km marathon. 

So in year 2012 I sign up again 42km in the Sundown Race and this time I completed it with shower of blessing in the timing of 06:29:56. That really by God grace to completed it. Because that time I never train much but I believe God seeing my faithful heart and He know my desire for complete the race with Him. I also remember that time I was in GenRev Marked Camp 2012. God told me is OK that you never train much for your full marathon just rest in Me for this Marked Camp and feed the words in Me. Don't be so stressful just leave everything to Me and I will handle it just for you. I say Amen and after I coming back from camp I feel I already draw near to Jesus and starting wrote dairy to Him every single days. 

He also start answer all my prayer and it so powerful getting closer and closer with Him. Here are the prayer that He answer to me in the different way.


  1. After coming back from Marked Camp 2012, I saw my ex-boyfriend coming back to church and we become friends. That what I pray since in the year 2010 and 2011. But end up he not the one for me as in life partner. So God brought Derek come into my life in 25.12.12. Then this year 2013 in the month of May my ex-boyfriend is attached with a new girlfriend. So I really feel God is so amazing that He surprise me and brought a man who love Him and me more. Derek and I together for 8 months but we have been going through a lot for this relationship. 
  2. I serving in Rock Kidz for 2 year since year 2010 to 2012. Then I sign up worship ministry, I get in as a choir for English Service and my first serving 10.03.13 on stage. Thanks God for making the day for me to remember. He always know my faithful heart and desire. 
  3. I thanks God for bring my sister-in-Christ back to church. Because she also facing same problem as me so I pray for Divine protection and kingdom friendship for her. Glad that we still contact each other and also meet up for supper or dinner too.   

I really thanks God for making my prayer so real to me and always a sweet memory to me. But sometime God never answer my prayer it does not mean that He never hear me. Because good things may took sometime to happen. So just put a little faith, believe and trust in Him and all together will be happen by, through and in Him. Amen

So I want to share other things just happen to me about kingdom friendship. It start from GenRev Care Group. I have been in this Care Group since in the year of 2010 that was the time my care group is really big and last year 2012 it become two different group. But I believe some of my care group members still got keep in touch. But sad to say I was not totally involved and until now I still don't know why. In Care Group there is a leader I really feel comfort to sharing my problem with her but now she already move on to adult care group. I really miss her but I and Derek feel a bit bad that when her last day in care group we not even go care group to talk to her. But we both only sms her and we found out from our Care Group group chat at Whatapp then notice that she already left for this Care Group. 

After my leader left things since like not the same because got a new leader taking over her but Derek and I not use to it plus we long time never go Care Group too. Not even that our Care Group not really all of them sms us asking how are we and it making us disappointed. So we decided to change Care Group in the east and also near my place. I pray to God that He will lead the way and find a comfort zone and place for us. Amen. so that all we can do :)

#17 TIme To Let Go

Seriously I not sure what happen to my care group and choir friends. But I think it is better to move on since they like hack care me. Plus I feel is the season for me to move on and I won't turning back already. 

I also know God have better plan for me once I feel the place not comfort to me and He will lead me in the better place. 

But I still feel a bit sad about what happen to my choir friends. We use to be very close and yesterday I was feeling not well so never turn up for Choir. Sad is that they never ask me by sms why I never turn up for choir. End up I see the picture on the group chat they post the choir picture it make me really disappointed with them. So I left the group chat. 

I really thanks God for letting me see their true colour and I now really need to think carefully should I still want to serve in choir. Of cos not because of this then don't want serve. But I feel lost and don't have the joy of serving. I really need God to help me on this.

#16 Feel So Good After 2 Sunday of Running Race & Going Back To Serve The Lord This Sunday...

Last two weeks of Sunday I was busy on my running race (Sunday 01.09.2013 Army Half Marathon 21km & Sunday 08.09.2013 POSB PAssion Run For Kidz 10km).

By right last Sunday is my serving week so I swap my week with my friend team. I really thank God that she help me find her team friend to swap with me. I really feel so happy that I never miss my race last Sunday too. Really thank God for planning this for me so that I can go Choir Practice with my friends on yesterday also finally we can take group picture too. 

Looking forward for this Sunday morning to giving thanks, praise and serving with Him on 1st & 2nd English Service. 

I notice I forget mention that I am serving as Worship Ministry as a choir in New Creation Church since this year March until now. Before that I was serving as Rock Kidz for 3 year plus as a admin to scan the children tag before they go to class from the age of 6 to 7 year old. That time I have try to sign up as a choir but I never get in. So I serve Rock Kidz then until last year Dec I try to sign up again and I get in. I really thanks God for knowing my desire of being in Worship Ministry for a long time. I also put my faithful heart to trust Him and now He make it happen. I really thanks God for making this possible to let me enjoy singing and worship just remind how wonderful God He is. :)

#15 iPhone 5s, iPhone 5C or Samsung Note 3

Not sure what I going to get a new handphone. But I think for sure I would like to have Samsung Note 3 next year 2014. Because got pink colour or maybe end of this year will change. 

But for iPhone I never see any different yet. Because compare to iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c there is not much change. Size still the same. 

My boyfriend and I plan to get Note 3 as our couple phone.

#14 Super No Mood Today...

Really sad and no mood today, because there is a Nike Run coming on 03.11.13 and today is the day sign up. Plus this Friday and Saturday got 3km run happen in the evening time once sign up for Nike Run. 

I very sad I have try to ask my friend to help, they not even help me or reply me. Worst is that they only care about themselves not about me. Don't know why like that. But really thank God to let me see their true colour. I will remind it also which are the friend is worth it for. 

So I also think I will be miss this Nike Run because of no one helping me today :(

#13 Recovery Core & Running Day After POSB PAssion Run For Kidz

Yesterday was a good run with my lifetime pacer at POSB PAssion Run For Kidz and also a first experience for my lifetime pacer running in the rain. He say not use to it but I told him I have use to it because I ran before in a heavy raining day in last year Sundown Marathon on the month of May. 

I really enjoy running in the rain, that remind me about God showering blessing from heaven  came to us. Amen. Also a best memory for both of us running in race with rainy day. :) 

Not only that I also feel God is faithful giving me power of strength to complete my 10km with Personal Best of the time about 58 mins plus for both of us. I still remember when I going to reach the finishing point got a little boy told me faster faster is going to be 1 hour then I can feel God power let me finish this race. He is always amazing God giving us a lot surprise when we put Faith in Him. :) 

About today, I and my lifetime pacer is looking forward for MRCD Running and Core Training after work it happen at Serangoon Stadium 7.30 pm to 8pm. It will be our recovery training after yesterday race. Still running never stop from us when we never hit our personal best or got over personal best. We always put God first to complete the race. 

Sometime I really feel unlike and Uneasy I going saying out loud Here. 
Seriously speaking I really cannot stand a person if he never think what he say on Facebook. like example that it may piss some people off, it may make some people feel like stabbing him in the back or even say wanna punch him in the face and etc. Plus saying in my sincere and make people like or dislike him. I just being himself. (This person don't know how to face the problem only know how to talk cock in Facebook and don't there slove problem face to face when he think that he is so dam right or not even there to example where is right or wrong point. Is like making other think that we are the one bully him. Not only that don't there face to face talk when things haven sloved then never turn up running club. 

Sorry to posting here because this my blog so I can post whatever things I want, I just want to being open and I am telling the true from here. :) If the person read it not happy can always come and find me, no need text me by whatapps or Facebooking to tell other.

#12 Really Must Save Money Already,

Yesterday, I spend $56 just get this Rakuwa S Cross Type Necklaces at Marina Square. Hope it will help me for running and training too.

#11 Finally Can Rest Already

Feel so happy when I seeing this breaking a good Personal Record in my RunKeeper at my Facebook. Then my friends will start asking is it my PB (Personal Best). Then I told them still long way to go to get a good results. But I told myself not to give up so easy just keep on doing it. 

I also feel really refreshing doing so many running and workout after my Army Half Marathon. Even my friends say I am crazy and am I train for anything or race. I just told them that I just train for fun but inside myself is that I am training for my Full Marathon 42KM it happen on this year Dec. So is better to start training now than later. If not it will too late for it. Other than that before 42KM is my 10KM & 21KM. I feel I am well prepare for it and get ready for it. After the all most important is that I know my body and sometime over train but if my body cannot take it I should stop already.

Most important also must believe God for giving this strength to complete the race while I serving and worship just for Him alone. Also not about me and is all about Him for letting me complete the race without any injury :). Amen 

Also same things to my lifetime pacer too. Let jia you together with all my friends out there too.

#10 Today Garmin Watch Not Working : (

Sad to say, don't know what happen to my Garmin watch after using USB to connect my watch then after that I take out it appear this screen since morning 8.30am to now. Plus not the first time happen this problem but it happen in the different way and in the different month. 

Last time it happen on July when I want save the power for my running race then sudden the screen also show the same thing. I really pray before this Sunday it will be alright and back to normal so I can use it. By right today I also want to use it to track my running training later after work at New Balance Scape. But I think Garmin watch need to rest after I using so much. 

I believe God will heal it. Amen :)

#9 After Army Half Marathon

After Sunday 01.09.2013 Army Half Marathon, I never stop my running training. 

1. Monday 02.09.2013 ~ Did a short recovery run 2.94km around Simei my house area. 
2. Tuesday 03.09.2013 ~ Did a steady and distance 10km run with Safra Running Club at Tampines. 
3. Wednesday 04.09.2013 ~ Going New Balance Novena Velocity to visit my old friends and at the same time doing 7km run with them too. (My 2nd home since I left Newton Running Club)
4. Thursday 05.09.2013 ~ Going New Balance Scape doing 7km run too. 
5. Friday 06.09.2013 ~ Going True Fitness Gym to do some workout class. 
(My sweet boyfriend and I will be doing Bodycombat Class from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, after that 8.30pm I will be doing Pilates Class from 8.30pm to 9.30pm then my sweet boyfriend will doing his Muay Thai from 8.30pm to 9.30pm)
6. Saturday 07.09.2013 ~ My sweet boyfriend and I will be meeting each other after work 1.00pm go City Square to collect our Tri-Factor goodie bag, go church and carbo loading a bit for Sunday POSB PAssion Run with Kidz Race. 
7. Sunday 08.09.2013 (Race Day) ~ Get ready for POSB PAssion Run with Kidz 10km. After race we go church to giving thanks to Him : )  

This week really happening a lot workout for us but after all is about God giving us strength to complete the race and training. If don't have Him, I think me and my sweet boyfriend will be giving up or fall sick already. Really thanks God for everything. Next week I will be running on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Friday and weekend will be my rest day : ). 

Now I told myself, I will train smart with Jesus in the midst for this. Amen

Today I feel a bit disappointed about my timing for Army Half Marathon. But I still feel touch all my running friends still being there to support me no matter how it be. 

But I always told myself I will do it better and better next time. I feel no point to compare with people never do Full Marathon before. I still have God and my sweet boyfriend being there to cheer me up. My friend say also true that see how long they have Personal Best without doing Full Marathon. 

I always told myself I already a winner in God eyes Amen. God the one giving me power to complete the race. Amen

#7 Finally Complete My Half Marathon with My Lifetime Pacer

Finally yesterday I done my Army Half Marathon in the gun time of 2:32:58 but the nett time haven out yet. I feel it should be below 32mins. Because I using my Garmin watch to track my timing. Hope is the right timing too. 

I really proud of my lifetime pacer really did very well for his very first Army Half Marathon, we were pacing each other from the start to the end of race. I believe we will do it better next time. 

After complete our race something I really stand is that got a person I not really like him think that he really end the half marathon by the timing of 2hrs but that was gun time and one of my friend wanted to tell him that may not his personal best timing. He say in Facebook that gun time is nett time. So I believe I am doing well and is 2 hrs already. I really feel this kind of person really hopeless, only think about himself and friend already say he wrong then he think is right. But is ok non of my business right now and I still go on my life. Don't want because of this loster then affect my boyfriend and my life. 

There is other things I really want correct the person. You not even complete a Full Marathon don't tell other you got experience and giving people wrong advise about marathon. You just complete first half marathon then want show off. If you think you are good go sign up next year Sundown Full Marathon do a sub 4.
